dresses

after spending the last two weeks or so in "business casual" attire I can officially say that I have come to realize the full power, beauty, and simplicity of the dress. my favourite outfit of my whole week was a blue cotton sun dress. let's raise our champagne glasses in a toast to dresses!

belt it out

I just can't get enough of the belt on the outside. I don't care whether it is mono-toned, meant to stand out, dressed up or dressed down. I just plain old love it!

btw, how hot is the camel/warm tan brown colour right now? I love it!

why not?

here is a sampling of some of my faves from this week of cleaning out my folder. I love the clean cut, lady like lines of Jennifer and Gwyenth's pretty dresses. Taylor looks like a mixture of sunday brunch and first day of school. Ashley and Anne do a wonderful job of showing off oatmeal sweaters. I can't decide if I would wear an oatmeal sweater, but I like it on others.

Emmy This

so many cute outfits, so little time! I loved the elegance put on display at this year's Emmy awards. Hayden worked it out in red and Christina put it all out there in a classy number. other favourites include Christina Applegate, Julia Louise Dreyfus, and well the whole Mad Men cast.

I hope my jump suit saves me....

call me dopey, but I am actually loving the jump suit look. especially the shorts jump suit. it makes me want to use the word "romp". romp romp romp, sorry. I will try to contain myself. perhaps if I find one that fits me I will soon be romping around town.

victoria is royalty

here it is: victoria beckham is a guilty indulgence. it is hard to admit, but I love her. the almost costume like style, the elegance, the pixie hair cut. I love it all. she even has the cutest kids and the hottest hubby. (his picture has been included as exhibit A...) her new line isn't even all that bad. *sigh* she reminds me to glamorize when necessary.

perfection a la coco

not only is Audrey Tauto working it out in this black classy number, but her new movie depicting the life of the one and only coco chanel makes me want to camp out in front of a theatre. if the movie is anything like her hat, it is sure to be imaginative, classic, and eloquent.
