so after spending an inordinate amount of time tinkering with finding the right theme for this post, I decided I would defy convention and just post stuff I like. there may be no unifying theme, but it does give you a glimpse into what I think is hot. it is perfect inspiration for the beginning of a long silly week. Is it Christmas yet?

mmmmm burberry

on my list of "things to own before I die" one of my more loft aspirations is to own a burberry trench coat and umbrella. obviously the umbrella is far more likely. the trench coats are an ubiquitous status symbol and the ultimate in sexy power chic. what is equally surprising to me is that the rest of their line is soft and wearable. I would love to wrap a brown belt around an adorable spring coloured onesie. mhmmm classy. here are some tidbits from the SS10 line. courtesy of in style magazine.

Reese's perfection

it is hard not be envious of Reese Witherspoon. putting aside her bubbly demeanor, her sense of style is in my opinion almost unmatched. she oozes (yes, oozes) femininity but never in a way that would imply she is timid or to be taken advantage of. the plain shirts with printed skirts and classy accessories is a favourite look of mine. her evening dresses are so sexy without ever showing too much of anything. I am tres impressed.

back on elle street

after becoming increasingly frustrated with instyle.com and people.com I realized wait, I haven't creeped on people being creeped on by photographers on the Elle Street Chic Blog in a while. once here, I was instantly glad I visited. from Paris to New York, it is always so refreshing to see style on the streets. have fun perusing and have a fantastic weekend.

* and yes, leather jackets do play a prominent role, my lusting still hasn't subsided.

as I already have decided on presents for 90% of my list (and yes, this means you), I have decided to do a little me shopping. the Kris Nations line of jewelry makes my heart happy and is exactly the look I've been searching for. I love the simplicity of the nature items and the pure gold/silver looks. it makes my heart happy.

one word- sparkle

my ultimate plan for the Christmas party season was a sparkly skirt... well 3 hours in a mall later, I came to the conclusion that I may have been a little ahead of the tide. but validation for my fashion sense came last night at the AMAs. sparkly cute dresses were had by all. and I am green with envy.
